Be kind to your wife during wedding night

When he approaches his wife, he must be friendly with her and give her Milk or Sweet.

On the authority of Asma bint Yazid, she said, “I massaged Ayesha with oil for the sake of the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace.” Then I came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. Then I called him to see him clearly in the open state. So he came and sat next to him. Then a big pot of milk was brought. He drank, and then she raised it towards him, he bowed his head and felt shy. Asma said, I scolded him and said: Take it from the hand of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said, then he took and drank something.

Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) pointed at her and said, “Shall I give it to your girlfriend?” Asma said, I said, O Messenger of Allah! Rather, you take it and drink it. Then give it to me from your hand. He took it, then drank it, then put it in my blood. Then I turned it around and followed it with my lips to get the Prophet’s drink. Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, pointed at the women present with me and said, “Give it to them.” They said, “We do not want that.” Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “They do not accumulate hunger and lies.”

Dua by placing hands on wife’s head at wedding night

Entering the house, the husband places his hand on the forehead of his wife and recites the following prayer.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا، وَخَيْرَ مَا جَبَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا، وَشَرِّ مَا جَبَلْتَهَا عَلَيْهِ

Pronunciation: Allahumma Inni Asaluka Khairaha; Wa Khaira Ma Jabaltaha Alaihi; wa aujubika min sharriha; Wa Sharri Ma Zabaltaha Alaihi.

Meaning: O Allah! I want all the goodness it has and all the goodness you have given in its nature. And I seek your refuge from all the evils it has and all the evils you have placed in its character.

On the authority of Amr ibn Shu’ayb

He narrated from his father through his grandfather that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: When one of you marries a woman or buys a slave, he should say: “Allahumma Inni Asaluka Khairaha-wa Khaira Ma Jabaltaha- ‘alayhi wa A’uzubiqa min Sharriha- wa sharri Ma Jabaltaha- Alayhi” (meaning – O Allah! I ask You for his good and the good character with which You created him. And I ask You for his evil and the bad character with which You created him). I seek refuge from what you have created with.). And when a person buys a camel, let him recite the Dua as before with the top of his lips. In another narration it is said about the woman and the servant, then she should hold her forehead hair and pray for blessings.

Pray Two rakat nafl Salah and recite dua

Then after two rakat nafal Salah recites the following dua both for blessing and welfare of the family, or the husband will pray and the wife will say, Amin Amin.

اَللّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لِىْ فِىْ أَهْلِىْ وَبَارِكْ لَهُمْ فِىَّ، اَللّهُمَّ اجْمَعْ بَيْنَنَا مَا جَمَعْتَ بِخَيْرٍ و فَرِّقْ بَيْنَنَا إِذَا فَرَّقْتَ إِلَى خَيْرٍ

Pronunciation: Allahumma barikli fi ahli, wa barik lahum fiyyya; Allahummajmaa bainana ma jamata bikhairin wa wa farrik bainana iza farraqta ila khairin.

Meaning: O Allah! Bless you for me in my family and bless me inside for the family. O Allah! You give me sustenance from them and give them sustenance from me! O Allah! Keep us together with goodness as long as you keep us together. And if you cause separation between us, cause separation in the way of welfare.

On the authority of Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud (RA).

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, that when a wife approaches her husband, the husband will stand for two rak’ahs of prayer and the wife will stand behind him. Then both of them will pray two Rakats together and the husband will say, O Allah! Bless my family for my welfare and bless me for the welfare of my family. O Allah! Provide for them on my behalf and me on their behalf. O Allah! You accumulate good among us as you will and separate good as you will.

Dua before intercourse

Read the following prayer before intercourse.

بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنَا الشَّيْطَانَ، وَجَنِّبِ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنَا

Pronunciation: Bismillahi Allahumma Jannibnas Shaytana, Wa Jannibish Shaytana Ma Rajaqtana.

Meaning: O Allah! Starting with your name. You keep the devil away from us! Keep the Shaytaan away from the children we will bear (as a result of this union).

Narrated by Ibn Abbas (RA).

He said, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, when one of you goes to his wife and says, O Allah! Protect me from the devil and protect the child that will be born to me from the devil. Then if a child is born to them, Shaytaan will not be able to harm him and will not be able to have any influence on him. Asma (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated a similar narration from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him).
