Wahid meaning. What does the name Wahid meaning?

Al-Wahid is an adjective of Allah. This name means single, unique. God the Almighty has no partner, no partner, no companion, no father, no child, no imitation, no precedent. He is the only being in all things.

God the Almighty said,

Tell me, which thing is the greatest as a witness? You say, Allah. He is the best witness between me and you. And this Quran has been sent down to me so that I may warn you and those to whom it reaches. Do you bear witness that He is the One God, and I am averse to the partners you set up? (Surah An-Nam: verse — 19)

If God willed, He could have chosen whomever He willed in His creation. He is holy and great; He is the One God, the Almighty. (Surah Jumar: verse — 4)

He quoted the saying of Yusuf (as):

O, my two companions, many different lords are superior, or one God Almighty? (Surah Yusuf: Ayat — 39)

He commanded his last prophet, saying:

Say: I am only a warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Irresistible. (Surah Rad: verse — 65)

Allah the Almighty further said,

Your God is One God, there is no god but He, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. (Surat al-Baqara: Ayat — 163)

This verse with the name Al Wahid has been identified as Isme Azam.

What does Waheed mean?

If there was a second god in this world, it would be a disaster. God the Almighty testified that

If there were but one god in the heavens and the earth besides Allah, both would have perished. Glory be to God, the Lord of the Throne, from what they describe. (Surah Ambiya: Ayat — 22)

He added,

Allah has never taken a child, and there is no god with Him. If He had, each god would have been separated from his creation and would have dominated over the other. Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe (unto Him). (Surah Al-Mu’minun: verse — 91)

And do not say three, restrain, it is better for you, Allah is the only God. (Surah An-Nisa: verse 161)

Say: The Creator of all things is Allah, the One, the Irresistible. (Surah Rad: verse — 18)

And all will appear before Allah, the One, the Irresistible. (Surah Ibrahim: verse — 47)

Tell them that the revelation that comes to me is that there is only one God, your God. (Surah Ambiya: Ayat — 108)

Therefore, He is your God, and you must obey His commands. (Surat al-Hajj: 34)

There is a vast knowledge of the Oneness of God in the name of Al-Wahid.

This name is only for Allah. Because in the sense that he is Wahid or single, unique, no one else is single or unique. Therefore he is the only Wahid or single, unique. So it would not be valid to assign this name to anyone else. No one can be named by this name. The name should be Abdul Waheed. The name Wahid has mentioned a total of 22 times in the Qur’an.
