لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ

Pronunciation: La Hawla Wala Quwwata Illa Billah.

Narrated by Abu Musa al-Ashari (RA).

He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me: Shall I not inform you of a Kalimah which is a treasure of Paradise? Or he said, what should I say about a treasure from among the treasures of Paradise? Then I said, yes. Then he said, “La- Hawla Wala- Quwata Illa- Billa-H” ie- (No one has the ability to do good deeds and turn back from bad deeds without the help of Allah).

Narrated by Anas Ibn Malik (RA).

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When a person leaves his house and says: “Bismillahi Tawaqkaltu Alallah, Wa La Hawla Wala Quwwata Illa Billah” then it is said to him that you have been guided, saved and secured. So the devils get away from him and another devil says, what can you do to a person who has been guided, protected, and protected!

Narrated by Abu Saeed and Abu Hurairah (RA).

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When a person says “La-ila-ha illallahu wallahu akbar” then his Lord approves his words as true and says: There is no god but Me, I am the Greatest. And when the servant says, “La Ilaha Illallahu Wahdahu” (There is no god but Allah, He is One), then he says: There is no god but Me and I am One. When the servant says, “La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu” (There is no god but Allah, He is One, He has no partner), then Allah says: There is no god but Me, I am One. , I have no partner.

When the servant says, “La-ila-ha illallahu lahul mulku walahul Hamdu” (There is no god but Allah, to Him belongs the kingdom, to Him is all praise), then Allah says: There is no god but Me. The kingdom is mine and all praise is mine. When the slave says, “La-Ilaha Illallahu wa La Hawla Wala Quwwata Illa Billah” (There is no god but Allah Ta’ala. No one has the power to harm or do good except Allah Ta’ala), then Allah Ta’ala He said: There is no god but Me, no one has the ability to remove evil and gain good without Me (without my help). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also used to say: Whoever recites these verses while sick, then dies, the fire of Hell will not consume him.

Jame’ at Tirmidhi: 3430

Narrated by Abu Dharr (RA).

He said, My friend (the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me to do seven things. (a) Commanded me to love the poor and to co-exist with them. (b) Ordered to look at those lower than me and not to look at those higher than me. (c) Called me to maintain kinship even if it cools down. (i.e., they don’t care). (d) He told me not to ask anything from anyone. (e) Commanded me to tell the truth, even if it is bitter. (f) And commanded me that I should not accept the rebuke of any reprobate in the way of Allah. (g) Ordered me that I should say more – (La- Hawla Wala Quwata Illa Billah) because these sentences are taken from the mine of Arsh. Another narration has come because this sentence is one of the mines of Paradise.

Narrated by Umar Ibn al-Khattab (RA).

He said Rasulullah (may peace be upon him) said: When the Muwajjin says “Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar”, one of you sincerely says in reply: “Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar”. When the Muawizzin says: “Ashhadu al-la-ila-ha illallh” in response he also says: “Ashhadu al-la-ila-ha illall-ha”. Then the Mu’awizzin says: Ashhadu Anna Muhammadan Rasoolullaah.” In response he says: “Ashhadu Anna Muhammadan Rasoolullaah.” Then the Mu’awizzin says: “Hayya alas salah” In response he says: “La Hawla Wala Quwwata Illa Billah”.

And then the Mu’awizzin says: “Hayya Alal fala-h” In response he says: “La Hawla Wala Quwwata Illa Billah”.  Then the Muawizzin said: “Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar” In response he said: “Allahu Akbar, Allah-hu Akbar”. Then the Muwajjin says: “La-ila-ha illallah” in response he says: “La-ila-ha illallah”. He will go to Paradise because of this answer to the call to prayer.
