Narrated by Abu Malik Al Ash’ari (RA):

He said: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Purity is half of faith. ‘Alhamdu lilla-h’ will fill the measure of the Mizan and “Subhanallah wal hamdulilla-h” will fill the space between the heavens and the earth. ‘Salat’ is a bright light. ‘Sadaqah’ is evidence. ‘Patience’ is astronomical. And ‘Al Qur’an’ will be proof for you or against you. In fact, all people sell themselves for ‘Amal every morning. By his ‘Amal, he frees himself (from Allah’s ‘punishment) or he brings about his own destruction.

On the authority of Mus’ab Ibn Sa’d (RA): He said, My father (Sa’d) narrated to me a hadith that he said, “We were (sitting) with the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him). Then he said, will any of you be unable to achieve a thousand virtues every day? Then a questioner from among those sitting there asked, “Would one of us attain a thousand virtues in the Qibab?” He said, “If he recites one hundred Tasbeeh (Subhanallah), a thousand virtues will be recorded for him and a thousand sins will be erased from his record.

Narrated by Ali (RA):

Once, Fatemah (RA) got a blister on her hand due to turning the wheat-threshing wheel. Then he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to ask for a servant. But he did not find him. He then explained his purpose of coming to ‘Aishah (RA). Then when he returned home, ‘Aishah (RA) informed him about this matter. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to us when we were resting. When I wanted to get up, he said: Stay in your place.

Then he sat between us in such a way that I felt the cool touch of his feet on my chest. He said: Shall I not tell you an ‘Amal which is better for you than a servant? When you go to bed, you will read Allahu Akbar 33 times, Subhanallah 33 times, and Alhamdu Lillah 33 times. It is more beneficial for you than a servant. Ibn Seereen (RA) said: Tasbeeh is 34 times.
