What is the best time to pray Taraweeh?
Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim; What is the best time to pray Taraweeh: It is permissible to perform the night prayer in the first, middle, or last part of the night, but it is better to perform it in the last part of the night.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed from the first part of the night until one-third of the night had passed. On the second night too, he prayed in the first part of the night until the middle of the night. And on the third night, he started praying from the first part till the last night.

The Prophet (sm) said, Allah, has increased one salat for you. That is Vitr. Therefore, you should perform it between Esha and Fajr salat. However, if possible, it is better to perform the night prayer on the last night.

Rasulullah (sm) said, if anyone fears not being able to wake up on the last night (from sleep), he should recite Witr in the first part of the night. And he who is eager to wake up on the last night, let him fall asleep on the last night. Because the angels appeared in the salat last night. And this is the best.

Narrated from Amr Ibn As Radiyallahu Anhu,
He said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: At the end of the night, the servant is closest to his Lord. If you can be one of those who remember Allah at that time, then be one of them.

The Prophet (SM) said: Our Lord descends to the heavens of the world every night when the last third of the night is left. Then he said, “Who will call me, and I will answer his call?” Who will pray to me, I will give him? Who will apologize to me, I will forgive him? Keep saying the same until dawn.

Narrated from Jabir Radiyallahu Anhu,
He said, “I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say,
Surely there is a time in the night when a servant prays to Allah for good in this world and in the Hereafter, and he is granted it. And it happens every night.

When Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) was asked, which deed was most dear to the Messenger of Allah? He said constitutionalism. I said: When did he stand? He said: When he heard the call of the hen, he stood up.

Allah would wake the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) at night, there would be no time for Sehri before he finished his Ajifa.

When the night prayer revolves around the congregation on the first night and in the middle of the last night alone, it is best to perform it in the congregation. This is because a full night prayer is considered for the one who performs the night prayer in the congregation (i.e. the virtue of performing the whole night salat is recorded). Based on this, the rule of the Companions continued in the time of Umar (R).
Abdur Rahman bin Abdul Qari said,
One night in Ramadan, I went out with Umar ibn al-Khattab (R) to the mosque. The people were divided into many groups At that time. Someone was praying alone and a group of people was praying behind someone. Umar said, “By Allah, I think it would be better if I could gather these people behind an Imam.” Then he became convinced of this and gathered them behind Ubayy bin Ka’b. The narrator said, “Later one night I went out with him (Umar).” Then the people were praying with their Imam (in congregation). (Seeing this scene) Umar (R) said, how beautiful this new system is! The part of the night in which they sleep is better than the part of the night in which they perform salat. By this, he meant last night. Because then people used to pray in the early part of the night (Taraweeh).
