Dua No. 1
Pronunciation: Allahumma inni a’uzu bika min azabil qabri wa a’uzu bika min fitnatil masihid dajjal wa a’uzu bika min mahiya wal fitnatil mamati; Allahumma inni a’uzu bika minalmachami wal magrami.
Meaning: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the torment of the grave, the temptation of Masih Dajjal, and the temptation of life and death. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from sin and debt.
Narrated Urwah Ibn Zubair (RA):
Aisha, the wife of the Prophet (may peace be upon him) told him that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) used to say in prayer: اللَّهُمَّ إِنّي أَعوُذُبِكَ مِن عَذابِ القَبرِ واعوُذُبِكَ مِن فِتنَةِ المَسيِحِ الدَجّاَلِ واعوُذُبِكَ مِن فِتنَةِ المَحياَ وَفِتنَةِ المَماتِ “ From the punishment of the grave, from the trial of Dajjal in Messiah and the trial of life and death Ya Allah! I seek refuge in you. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from sin and debt.”
Then a man said to him, how often do you seek refuge from debt? Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: When a person falls into debt, he tells a lie and when he makes a promise, he breaks it. Muhammad ibn Yusuf (RA) said I heard Khalaf Ibn Amir (RA) say that there is no difference between مَسيح and مَسيح Both the words are synonymous but one is Jesus (AS) and the other is Dajjal.
Sahih Bukhari: 832
