The identity of the Dajjal
The Prophet He warned us about the Dajjal, just as the previous prophets warned their ummah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made the identity of the Dajjal clear to his ummah so that we can recognize the Dajjal and deal with him.
Abu Umama Al Bahili’s identity of the Dajjal is clearly revealed in a long hadith. The authenticity of the hadith is weak. But there are many sahih hadiths in favor of that hadith. So today we will discuss in the light of those sahih hadiths narrated in the name of Dajjal InshaAllah.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said,
1. O, people! Ever since God created the children of Adam, there has been no greater fitnah on earth than the fitnah of the Dajjal, and it will not be until the Day of Resurrection. He who is saved from the previous tribulations will also be saved from the tribulations of the Dajjal. And he will not be able to harm the Muslims.
2. Surely, all the prophets that Allah has sent have warned their ummah about the Dajjal. I also warn you about it.
3. I am the last of the prophets and you are the last of the nations.
4. The Dajjal must appear among you. It is certainly true and it is very close. And whatever happens, is very close. The Dajjal will first appear through anger. He will not come out until the situation is such that the inheritance will not be distributed and no joy will be expressed in getting the booty.
5. If he comes out while I am present among you, then I will argue for every Muslim and blame the Dajjal. And if he comes out after me, then everyone has to present documents for themselves. Then Allah Almighty will be my caliph for every Muslim.
6. Surely the Dajjal will come out of the eastern country which is called Khurasan. Among the Jews of Asbahan, their appearance will be folded. The Dajjal will emerge from a place called Khalla in Syria and Iraq. And he will wreak havoc everywhere on his right and left. O servants of God! You will stand firm in the faith. He said this three times.
7. Because I will narrate to you his condition which no prophet before me has narrated to his ummah. In the hadith of Ubada, I have narrated to you many hadiths about the Dajjal. Even so, I’m afraid you won’t recognize him.
8. First, he will say, I am a prophet and there is no other prophet after me.
9. Then he will claim, “I am your Lord.” But you will not see your Lord before you die.
10. And he will be blind. His left eye will be mixed. Which will be covered with thick leather. It is like a bright star. His right eye is like a lightless, grape-like round. Which will not rise above and will not remain below. She will have curly hair. Be careful! (The matter of the Dajjal is not hidden from you. And it is not hidden from you that your Rabb is not blind.) He said three times. You will not see your Lord before you die.
11. He will roam the earth And to Allah belongs the heaven and the earth.
12. He will be short, his steps will be long, his hair will be curly and he will be flawed.
13. He will be a man with curly hair.
14. Kafir will be written on his forehead between his two eyes. This writing can be read by those who dislike its activity or every believer can read it, whether he is literate or illiterate.
15. One of his temptations is that he will have with him Paradise and Hell [rivers and water] and a mountain of bread. He will appear with things resembling Paradise and Hell. But His Hell is Paradise and Paradise is Hell. When Mughirah Ibn Shubah was asked about the Dajjal, he said, “I said, ‘People are saying that there will be a mountain of bread and meat with it and a canal of water.’ He said, “It is easier for God than that.” According to another hadith, there will be two flowing canals with the Dajjal.
White water can be seen in one of his external eyes and burning fire can be seen in the other external eye. Whoever of you gets that age should drink from what he thinks is fire and close his eyes and then bow his head. Because it will actually be water, cool freshwater, good water. So be careful not to be deceived and destroy yourselves. In another description, Whoever enters Paradise will lose his reward and will be condemned to sin. And whoever enters Hell, he will be rewarded and his sins will be forgiven.
16. Whoever is tested by his fire, let him seek refuge in Allah and recite the first part of Surah Al-Kahf. Because if you read it, you will be safe from his temptation.
