Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim; Today I will discuss the supplications and actions to protect yourself from the temptations of the Dajjal.
Dua for seeking refuge from Dajjal
The trial of the Dajjal is terrible, the like of which has not been seen since the beginning of creation until the Day of Judgment; therefore, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to pray to Allaah to protect him from the trial of the Dajjal, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) taught us that prayer as well.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، وَمِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ، وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ، وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ
Recite: Allahumma inni auzubika min azabil kabri wa min azabin naar; wa min fitnatil mahiyya wal mamati; wa min fitnatil mashid dajjal.
Meaning: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, from the fire of Hell, from the trials of life and death, and the trials of the Antichrist.
Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him):
He said, The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to supplicate, O Allaah! I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, from the punishment of Hell, from the trials of life and death, and the trials of the Antichrist.
Sahih Bukhari 1377
Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him):
He said, The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘When one of you recites the Tashahhud in prayer, he should seek refuge in You from four things. He should say: Allahumma inni a’udhu bika min ‘aza-bi Jahannam wa min aza-bil kabari wa min fitnatil mahiyyah wal mama-ti wa min sharri fitnatil Masihid Dajjal; that is, O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Jahannam, the punishment of the grave, the trials of life and death, and the trials of the Antichrist.”

What Surah will protect you from Dajjal
Narrated Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him):
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Whoever memorizes the first ten verses of Surah Al-Kahf will be safe from the trial of the Dajjal.
Sahih Muslim 1768
Narrated by Nawas ibn Sam’an:
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Whoever among you meets the Dajjal, let him recite the first part of Surah Al-Kahf against him.”
Sahih Hadith Qudsi 162
Two things we understood from these hadiths:
One is that the supplication should be recited after reciting the Tashahhud regularly in prayer; however, another narration states that the supplication should be recited after the Tashahhud in the last sitting.
And the second thing is that whoever finds the Dajjal should recite the first ten verses of Surah Kahf against him; then Allah will protect him from the Dajjal’s fitnah, God willing.
May Allah Ta’ala grant us the ability to understand and act correctly and protect us from the trials of the Dajjal. Allahumma Amen.
