Bismillahir Rahmani Rahim, today’s topic of discussion is Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik Labbaika La Sharika Laka Labbaik Full Dua with pronunciation and meaning and rules of recitation.

لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكَ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَكَ

Pronunciation: Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik, Labbaika La Sharika Laka Labbaik, Innal Hamda Wanni’mata Laka Walmulk, La Sharika Lak.

Meaning: I am present, O Allah! I am present, I am present, you have no partner. I am present, surely praise and mercy belong to You alone, and also the kingdom to You. You have no partner in it.

Narrated Abdullah Ibn Umar (RA):

He said: I heard Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) reciting the Talbiyah aloud while he was a Muhrim with his hair tied. He said: I am present, O Allah! I am present, I am present, you have no partner. I am present, surely praise and mercy belong to You alone, and also the kingdom to You. You have no partner in it. He did not say anything beyond these words.

The standard of hadith is authentic

Narrated Abdullah Ibn Umar (RA):

The Talbiyah of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) was as follows: “I am present, O Allah! I am present, I am present, you have no partner. I am present, surely praise and mercy belong to You alone, and also the kingdom to You. You have no partner in it. Nafi’ (RA) said, Abdullah Ibn Umar (RA) used to add to Talbiya on his behalf: لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَالْخَيْرُ بِيَدَيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ وَالرَّغْبَاءُ إِلَيْكَ وَالْعَمَلُ “I have attended your court, I have appeared before you, I have had the good fortune of your service. All welfare is in Your hand, I have appeared to You, all attraction is to You and all work is for You.”

The standard of hadith is authentic

Narrated Abdullah Ibn Umar (RA):

He said that when Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) used to stand upright near the Dhul Hulayfah Masjid, he would start reciting the Talbiyah. He used to say, “Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik, Labbaika La Sharika Laka Labbaik, Innal Hamda Wanni’mata Laka Walmulk, La Sharika Lak.” Abdullah Ibn Umar (RA) used to say, This is the Talbiyah of Rasulullah (SAW).

Narrated Abdullah Ibn Umar (RA):

He said I heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) reciting Talbiyah with his hair tied; He used to say, “Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik, Labbaika La Sharika Laka Labbaik, Innal Hamda Wanni’mata Laka Walmulk, La Sharika Lak.” He would not add anything to it. Abdullah Ibn Umar (RA) used to say that Rasulullah (SAW) used to offer two Rakats of Salat in Dhul Hulayfah. Then when his wife was standing with him in front of the mosque of Dhul Hulaifah, he would start reciting the Talbiyah with those words.

Abdullah Ibn Umar (RA) also used to say, ‘Umar Ibn al-Khattab (RA) and Rasulullah (SAW) used to recite this Talbiyah and say, لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَالْخَيْرُ بِيَدَيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ وَالرَّغْبَاءُ إِلَيْكَ وَالْعَمَلُ “(Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik, Labbaika wa Sa’daik, wal khairu biyadaik, labbaika war ragbau ilaika wal amal.) ie I am present O Allah I am present. I am here only for your satisfaction. Benevolence is in your hand, deeds and inspiration are entrusted to you.
